		Benchmarking the job
°	A simple to complete web based survey (TriMetrix Job Benchmark Survey sample) allows stakeholders to accurately benchmark and develop a hierarchy for those competencies, attitudes and behaviors needed to succeed in the job. The actual benchmarking process is very straightforward. Basically we are looking at the job - not a person (who may have done the job well). A small group of stakeholders (people who really understand and are impacted by the job) will review and agree on the key requirements of the job, the key accountabilities of the job and then they will complete a 30 minutes on-line survey. Their responses will result in a hierarchy of what is really important - from a competency standpoint - to be truly effective in the job and enjoy the job (see: Benchmarking the Job and Key Accountabilities) After each stakeholder completes the survey, a Multiple Response TriMetrix Jobs Plus Report is generated showing what exactly - from a competency standpoint - is important to success in that job (this particular report also shows the responses of each stakeholder). Other examples are found in the next section.
		Assessing the candidate(s)
°	When you know you have serious candidates for the job, they complete The TriMetrix assessments (see: Hiring Using the TriMetrix System). This generates (TriMetrix Talent Plus Report sample) reports on each candidate’s competencies, attitudes and behaviors using the same format as the benchmark – allowing a true apples-to-apples comparisons of candidates to the job (in fact, one report can actually list 5 candidates on one report for your comparison). A number of reports are available, based on client needs (see: TriMetrix Systems Reports) (NOTE: A number of my clients comment that – without the TriMetrix – they would have offered the candidate the job – but the TriMetrix revealed important information not picked up on earlier in interviews.)
